The Merkley"s
We both moved to the Washington DC area in January 2005. We met at a party shortly after we moved there. Our roommates started dating each other, so we began spending time together as their wingmen. In April of that year we all four took a trip to Puerto Rico, and there Brendon and Taryn had their first kiss and began dating. Brendon went home to meet Taryn's family that August, and when Brendon hit a clay pigeon with a 22 rifle Taryn was sold! We left Washington DC in June 2008 to return to campus life. Brendon is getting his Masters in Business Administration at Stanford University, and Taryn is more than thrilled to be living in her home state of California again!

holy crappity that's a looong drive! Are you planning on stopping in fun places? Iowa per chance? (Wait..I just asked if you were stopping in FUN places...so I guess Iowa's out of the question)
I feel your pain! I'm still trying to figure out how I want to do it. Any helpful hints?
YUCK. That a LONG drive. I've driven from Idaho to VA once but you have 2 extra states to drive through. YUCK. Wish we could all meet up in SLC. Wouldn't THAT be fun!?!?

we found great b&b's to stay in in pittsburgh and cheyenne that were pretty inexpensive if you're interested. don't know where you're planning on stopping.
Wow what a drive! Can't ya just sell your car, hire a moving company and fly?? :-) That is totally what I would do! I HATE driving!!! I like Ash's idea of meetin gin SLC! I am here!!
I flew from DC to Seattle a few months back, and that seemed like it took forever. Best wishes, drive safe!
I AM SO JEALOUS (and maybe a little crazy) as I love driving across the US! So before you get to Council Bluffs there is a great town just off 80 called Walnut, they have all these antique stores and cute little cafes to eat in...or when you get to Omaha, the downtown area called "Old Market" is fabulous! I could go on and on with great things to do in the midwest...Have a great trip!
