Oh Baby

I made this little infant dress last night while I was waiting for Bren to get home from work. (Please ignore my makeshift hanger/hand...I really need to invest in a cute little baby hanger so my pictures aren't so darn amateur).

My friend, Jane, challenged me to have five items to put in an Etsy shop by March 1st, so I think this is going to be one of those items. But I am NERVOUS. What if no one buys it? How embarrassing. And I can't figure out how to price it. I want to price it high enough to account for my time and money spent on fabric. But I don't want to price it so high that no one is interested (revert to fear #1).

Hmm. This etsy stuff is more stressful than I thought!

Okay, your little Etsy shop will be great!! I totally want to start one - I just have to work on a couple things first! I can't believe that you did that while you waited for him to get home!! I want to make one just like it, can you teach me??

You are so talented! I love that little dress.
Also... I was looking over some older posts and have to say that I love the sock monkey fabric on your monkey quilt. My mom made Luke a quilt out of that fabric. I love it!.... oh, and this is erin. jake is rarely found posting on blogs... haha

It will be so great to see you on etsy. I sold banners for a while. It was fun becuase it was a lot of custom work but I didn't have to worry about shipping and such. I have been thinking of making some things for the shop but I have the same concerns as you. My shop is laurasue@etsy.com

I forgot to say the dress is darling. I love it. I would spend some time looking at other great etsy shops to help you decided on the right price. I have some etsy favorites for kids clothing if you would like to check those out.

You must teach me! That dress is fabulous! I need to make one for Elliot! What pattern did you use? We need to get together and sew! I am so excited you are making an Etsy shop!

The dress is so cute! I swear you are going to make so much money selling them. For the price, you need to make sure you are making profit, but i wouldn't go too high. You need to have them cheaper than if they went into a little shop and bought them. Hurry up and get your little store open so i can start telling people about it!
